![]() Since then a friend of mine who knows much more about computers than I do suggested that it might not be a screen issue at all, he thinks more likely it is a graphics card issue or a cable issue or any number of other things!!īefore i go and spend money on either a separate display or try and fit a new screen myself (£60 DIY compared with £600 via Apple Store) i was hoping someone may have been able to help. I took it in again today and the Apple store guy said it was a display issue and connected it to a separate monitor to prove this. I took it into the Apple Store so they could test and see if it is a Logic board issue that they are doing their extended support repair on but the test they run to establish this ruled it out, it passed the test. I turned off the Mac and turned it back on Im just getting either a blank screen with horizontal lines or a screen with the apple logo and the loading bar but its distorned with horizontal lines. With help from Apple Support we have isolated it to a hardware issue as it happens whatever software is running. Question: Q: MacBook Pro 15' 2011 screen issue. This only happens when the Mac is under a fair amount of strain for example using CAD or having simultaneous Youtube videos playing. My 2011 15.4" Macbook pro has a screen issue, see pics for what is happening. ![]() Hi, i was hoping someone would be able to shed some light on something for me please.
